出國留學，很多留學生都會面臨著寫Essay的難題，字數又不能超過限制，文章內容又要豐富，結構又要清晰明了，對於這樣眾多要求的Essay，很多出國留學額小夥伴也是束手無策，不知道怎麽安排結構，下面美倫教育老師來為大家講解壹下Essay寫作結構上大致的壹個安排。
對於壹篇學術essay來說,structure是相當重要的,他簡直影響著整個essay的品質.很多同學在拿到壹個topic的時候,都覺得無從下手,其實,要寫好壹篇essay,關鍵在於安排好他的structure,這樣,論文的主要內容也會變得很容易了.以下步驟是寫好壹篇essay的關鍵.
1.字數安排.
在我們拿到壹個topic的時候,首先要看字數要求,並以此來安排這篇essay的大致3個部分在字數上的分配.標準的essay分為4個部分:
introduction
body
conclusion
reference
以壹份1500字的essay為例，標準比例為:
introduction 250 字
body 1000 字
conclusion 250 字
reference 不算在字數中
2.內容(body) 的字數安排.以壹個topic為例:compare frederick w. taylor and Elton Mayo's management theories, what are the similarities and differences between them and what's their relationship? 這個topic其實涉及到了三個內容:A--similarities,B---differences,和C--relationship.所以我們在字數上可以把body分為3個部分,每個部分約330字.
3.Introduction. Introduction 分為兩部分:
第壹部分是background,引出topic的內容;
第二部分是body中的主要內容,也就是這篇essay的內容和段落排序.
以上的topic為例:

success or failure of acompany. until the nineteenth century, the systematic and scientific managementtheory came out with its leading thinkers,twoof whom were well known as frederick w. Both Taylor andMayo stated the importance of theproductivity and cooperation between managers and workers.....this essay willfirstly discuss("this essay will firstly discuss"這段話很重要,是個標誌,所有essay都必須按照這個格式來.從這裏開始,就是對整個essay的主要內容分幾個板塊來進行嚴格概括.這個標誌後的內容應為body裏的內容A)
these similarities intheir different management theories and how they relate to each other.Following this (這句話是個標誌,此話後的內容為body裏的內容B)
It will explain the differences of the two theories concerning the consideration of the human beings during management finally,(此後內容為內容C.註意:如果body裏的內容不只是ABC,或者還有DEF的話,中間可以用subsequently, forthly等等的副詞作為標誌來寫)
it will look at how the two theories affect the feeling of workers and support increasing the productivity and maxi missing the efficiency.
之前的內容是background,之後的就是本篇essay 的主要內容.
以上3個步驟是寫好壹篇essay的最關鍵步驟.在這幾個步驟之後,body和conclusion就變的很容易了.但是要說明的是body部分是壹篇essay最重要的部分,也是得分點最多的部分,因為它是這個essay主要內容的體現.還是以剛才的那個題目為例,topic提到了3點關鍵內容:similarities,differences,relationship.這樣的話,3點內容可以分拆為3段裏論述.
最後是reference.我們平時遇到reference大概有2種,壹種是APA格式,壹種是Harvard格式,具體的reference格式根據不同的學校有不同的規定.（閱讀：三個例子學會Harvard、APA、Oxford格式 ）兩種格式其實區別不是很大,壹般情況下,都可以在自己學校的圖書館裏找到要求的reference的寫法.（了解英文reference是什麽？）reference壹般分為兩種,壹種是直接引用quotation;壹種是間接引citing.直接引用需要在in-text reference裏寫上具體的頁數page no .但是間接引用不是必須要寫上頁數的.很多同學經常會問為什麽in-text reference裏面沒有頁數,那就是說明那個引用是間接引用,是用自己話來表達概括出所引用的理論.
關於reference的個數問題,壹般來說,1000字的essay需要5-6個reference,1500字的需要8-10個.2000-3000字需要10-15個.字數越多,reference的數量越多.但是需要註意的是,壹般情況下,引用部分只能占整篇文章內容的25%-30%.但是,Trunitin是澳洲各個大學普遍使用的壹種防抄襲軟件.壹篇essay允許的相似程度是10%以下.所以直接引用的部分只能占整篇文章內容的10%以下.這樣,我們可以盡量使用間接引用.
